1.    Introduction
With the frequent international communication and the increasing economic globalization, English majors are improving their comprehensive abilities in English. Nevertheless, their oral English is making a rather slow progress compared with the other basic skills of English learning, the reason of which, to some degree, has something to do with the recognition among English majors of the distinction between Chinese and English customs.
According to the theory of Eastern and Western Cultures and Customs set forth by Expert Xinliu Li, the distinction between English and Chinese customs to some extent impacts on the study of oral English for English Majors. William B. Gudykunst once presented an argument for the theory of Culture Mingled with Intercommunication, which indicates that Chinese and English customs are in close relation to English majors' improvement in their intercultural communicative competence, including spoken English. Deming Bai pointed out that one could hardly learn spoken English well without grasping common proverbs and idioms as well as the culture behind them. Xin Shi and Lingling Zheng claimed that oral English learners should grasp common expressions of politeness as well as the culture and traditions behind them, as it was indispensable for them in using language of politeness in daily communication.
