Abstract
Harold Pinter won the Nobel Prize for Literature of 2017. Harold Pinter's drama, Mountain Language is a very important work of his old age, reflecting the relationship between language and power. Mountain Language is a short four-act play, in which the rule of language constantly changes. The author is trying to use the postcolonial theory to make an analysis of the Mountain Language, to analyze the relationship between language and power, and the impact of Postcolonial theory on this work. This research aims to provide a new angle to the analysis of Pinter’s plays with the theory of Postcolonialism.

1 Introduction
Harold Pinter has been the most important playwright since George Bernard Shaw in England in the twentieth century. In a number of Harold Pinter's drama, Mountain Language is a very outstanding work, reflecting the relationship between language and power. But till now, the research towards this play is not adequate as others. The author is trying to use the postcolonial theory to make an analysis of the Mountain Language, to analyze the relationship between language and power, and the impact of post-colonial theory on this work.
1.1 The Playwright and Mountain Language
On October 13 2017, the Swedish Academy announced that it had decided to award the Nobel Prize for Literature for that year to Pinter. He is the second playwright who won the Nobel Prize since Beckett in 1969.The Swedish Academy praised Harold Pinter in its Presentation Speech “An enclosed space and unpredictable dialogue, where people are at the mercy of each other and pretence crumbles. With a minimum of plot, drama emerges from the power struggle and hide-and-seek of interlocution.
