A Contrastive Study of Korean '-었-' and Chinese '了' : Focusing on the meaning and syntagme Korean and Chinese respectively belong to different grammar system. Therefore, their grammar expressions have own characteristics. Korean as an agglutinative language, usually uses affix after predicate or prefinal ending to show grammar relationships. However, the Chinese is regarded as an isolated language, it is accomplished by mainly using word order and function word. The '-었-' of prefinal ending in Korean and the 'le' of auxiliary word in Chinese are grammar points that are both used very much frequently. It is difficult for new learners how to understand exactly and use properly. The common ways for learning language is contrastive analysis. On the basis of predecessors's researching theory, this article compares and analyzes these two aspects from point of semantic and syntactic. And then try to find out the various characters of '-었-' and 'le', to present the similarities and differences much clearly. Firstly, Chapter One elaborates the contrastive analysis purpose of the '-었-' in Korean and the 'le' in Chinese. Meanwhile, summarizes the antecedent research situations from Korean and Chinese learners in this field and introduce simple research methods. Chapter Two, do contrastive analysis for Korean '-었-' and the point of syntactic of Chinese 'le'. Here mainly for both tenses and styles, as well as other semantics expect tense and style, these three aspects are analyzed. Chapter Three, mainly do analysis from Korean '-었-' and the point of syntactic of Chinese 'le'. Although have some similarities, however, there are a lots of differences. So, this part mainly emphasizes both differences in order to do deeply contrastive analysis. Chapter Four, sum up the above contrastive analysis of results. Generally speaking, this article compares and analyzes Korean '-었-' and Chinese 'le' from these semantic and syntactic two points. It is earnestly hoped that Korean and Chinese learners can avoid Mother language of influence and correctly comprehend both differences so that exactly apply to practice. Also it is useful for Korean teaching by this article researching.
