Teaching Korean language for foreigner has been studied in recently and there is a need to be carried out various studies steadily. Also most of research has been concentrated on the grammatical teaching, the research about efficient teaching methods that is for speaking and listening are few relatively. Story retelling is a very useful learning method that student learn the value is inherent in text naturally of target language. Strory retelling is discouraged the learning by rote and teacher centered education and is directed learner centered learning and active education is found to be an effective learning method to improving language. Folk tale has a very distinct advantage by learning materials of story retelling. To study Korean folk tale is an opportunity for students to understand Korean culture naturally and it can improved speaking skills through repetitive learning of learners by tell about folk tale that have learned to others. For a long time learners can remember what you have learned by memorize all the sentences through role-play activity. This is verified in the conventional studies on 'The effects of memorizing whole sentences'. But majority of teachers don't utilized story retelling method in education field because various reason disparities of students level, lack of class time, and so on. Hope to be studied on variety teaching methods and developing contents using story retelling method also to be actively utilized in field forward, I propose talk centered and pronounce centered story retelling education method by Korean folk tale, "Rejuvenated spring water". The aim of this thesis is to suggest how to learning using story retelling, and will study about the practical effects from this method later. In the future I hope it will be studied variety teaching methods and research using story retelling method and Korean folk tales and foreigners will be able to communicate in fluent Korean through many research and various attempts to improve speaking skills. I believe that these efforts will be appeared to positive effect on Korea society. Keyword : story retelling, traditional folk tales, fluency speaking, teaching Korean speaking, euphony.
