This translates the treatise on 'The Research Method on Chinese Linguistics History' of a renowned Chinese linguist, Professor He Jiuying, and attempts to make a comparative analysis of the source text and the translated text by means of both linguistics and translation studies.
Professor He Jiuying is a modern linguist of China, specialized in ancient Chinese and Chinese phonology. He is a former professor of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing University.
Professor He Jiuying discusses several key issues that occur in the source text on the study of Chinese Linguistics History, and methodologically suggests some points that scholars who study the Chinese Linguistics History need to be aware of.
This article consists of a total of four chapters: The first introductory chapter presents the scope and method of research, the writer, and the original text, and then, in the second chapter, the text is translated from A language (Chinese) into B language (Korean). In the third chapter, the theoretical analysis of the text, the source text is analyzed by linguistic approach, and the author discusses problems that occurred in the process of the translation and suggests solutions to the problems. In the last conclusion chapter, the content of the third chapter is summarized and recapitulated.
