In this research, author has analysed, collated words of address in official workplace between Korean and Vietnamese. By means of characteristics and lexicology of addressing of the two nations in order to clarify their similarities and differences.
First of all, the author would like to remind the definition of word classes of addressing are shown in a dictionary, and it is said: “are words for anyone who is a speaker uses to call a hearer appearing in front of during their conversation”. Therefore, addressing words in official workplace are defined: “are words that are used to call members in the same company when they are in front of one another and start a dialogue.”
In chapter 2, in order to understand Vietnamese address in words in official workplace, author had questionaries with statements of respondents in Vietnam working places. These are those who have been employees directly for either small or large size companies in Vietnam, and settled down all over 3 regions North – Middle - South.
Turning to chapter 3, through the questionaries findings in chapter 2, we studied the characteristics and words classes of addressing in Vietnamese official workplace. They are divided into these following groups: by family words, by names, by positions and by ranks of difference regions.
In chapter 4, learnt about the characteristics and word classes of addressing in Korean official workplace. They are involved : addressing words by names, by family, by second pronoun, by general words, and by replaceable words.
Based on precede chapters, in chapter 5, author had a comparison, collation the characteristics and form of addressing words in official workplace in Korean and Vietnamese, and then analysed the similarities and differences. They are illustrated in below chart briefly:

Middle and Southern resident major “Sir”, whereas “captain” is more common in Northern.
Forms of addressing are used to be exposed to opposite person as a conversation is going to begin. However, we once misunderstand and apply it incorrectly, which would cause an obstacle for communication. Hence, author ,with all the serve desire, hopes that the thesis could bring benefits for Korean and Vietnamese learners.
