The purpose of study was to learn the Chinese Multicultural Family’s Perceptions on Childhood Multicultural Education with Young Children in Korea. For the purpose, the following research questions were set up: Question 1. How do the parents of young children from Chinese multicultural families which have young children think about the childhood multicultural education in Korea? Question 2. What's the language education that was provided by the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children for their children in Korea? Question 3. What’s language environment which was provided by the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children for their children in Korea? Question 4. How about the cognition that was take by the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children for the multicultural education of childhood education institution in Korea? Question 5. What's the attitude that was taken by the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children for the childhood language education in Korea? To conduct this research, the survey data were collected from 112 parents of young children who are from Chinese multicultural families in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. In order to measure the Chinese multicultural family’s perceptions on childhood multicultural education with young children, the instrument that have been used in this research was the questionnaire for parents taken from the study named ‘A Research of the current state for Korean preschool Multicultural Education in Shanghai’ which was made by Xu Zhen(2012) and have been modified before it was taken into the research. In order to grasp the validity of questionnaire, a preliminary inspection for 5 teachers from graduate school and 10 parents from Chinese multicultural families had been taken before the questionnaire survey. Statistical analysis was performed using by SPSS 20.0 program and the collected data were analyzed by descriptive data analysis. The results of this research is as follows : First, most of the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children have acknowledged necessity of childhood multicultural education in Korea. By this research, we can find that in order to make the parents and their children adapt themselves to the Korean society, the multicultural education is necessary and the need of multicultural education for children has been more and more asked . Second, the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children did not take a good understanding of childhood multicultural education especially for the importance of it in Korea, and the attention for it was lacking. Only the parents take use of the environment sufficiently they can make a good multicultural condition for their children. And it has an important meaning for both parents and children. Third, as the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children want to adapt themselves to the society of Korea as quickly as possible, they had no interest for the culture of the other countries. Through the result, we can find that in most of parents' opinion, the first thing that wanted to be reached though multicultural education is to adjust to Korean society. As the mind is so anxious that they don't want to learn the culture from other countries even pay attention to it. Forth, the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children would like to choose the school education of Korea for their children even though there are many kinds of schools in Korea. The parents want to make their children adjust to Korean society well by sending their children to the korean school. Fifth, the parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children in Korea do not paid attention to the language education for children. There are two reasons for the parents would like to communicate with children in Korean rather than Chinese. One is that even though most of parents are Chinese the level of Korean is high. The other one is that the parents want their children to study Korean and adjust to Korean society better. Sixth, the parents from Chinese multicultural families which having young children in Korea did not understand the conformity between language and culture, the purpose for learning language was not for culture study but for the other things. The relationship of language and culture is complementary. Even though how well you can use the language but if you don't connect it to the culture, it's hard to adjust yourself to the society well. In this survey, even though most of parents can use Korean very well they have difficulties in adaptation to Korean society especially that there are many things which the parents can't understand well. what's more, in the most of parents' opinion the purpose of make their children study Chinese is not to learn the culture of China but want to do business with China. The purpose for study English is the same. The purpose of multicultural education is to understand and respect each other through the study of culture. If you only learn the language but ignore the study of culture, it will make some difficulties in communication and take some misunderstanding of culture. Seventh, in the process of society adaptation, there was the assimilation tendency among the parents from Chinese multicultural families which having young children in Korea. Even though there is no assimilation policy in Korean society but the parents in order to adjust themselves to the Korean society well they make themselves assimilate into the Korean society. Eighth, the most of curriculum for children in Preschool and Daycare Center was about the culture and language of Korea, and most of parents from Chinese multicultural families which have young children were satisfied with the curriculum. And in their opinion, it's better to teach the culture of Korean rather than the the culture of China. As they think that it would be helpful in making their children adapting to Korean society and many think that the facilities and education in Korean preschool and Daycare Center are superior. As the curriculum of Chinese culture in preschool is so insufficient that many parents want the preschool to increase the curriculum of Chinese culture and many parents want the preschool to increase the curriculum of Korean cuture even though there are so much in the existing curriculum. The parents have payed a high attention to the Korean culture.
